Compassion Cure for Domestic Violence (7 CEU's)

This component of our 40-hour training on Saturday June 14 meets the California BBS criteria for domestic violence training.

DVS Executive Director Beverly Engel MFT, expert and author of over 20 books on emotional, sexual and physical abuse, will provide a dynamic workshop on her "Compassion Cure" work with victims and perpetrators of domestic violence in a variety of treatment settings and modalities.

Specifically, this session will include trauma-focused counseling skills for professionals, and covers assessment, intervention strategies detection, community resources, cultural factors and same gender abuse dynamics.

Attend this training only for $100 including CEU's.

Intensive learning about all aspects of domestic violence.This 40-hour training meets the requirements of the State of California for people who wish to work directly with victims and perpetrators of domestic violence (meets the requirements for the new law which took effect January 2003). The learning that takes place is emotional as well as intellectual. The goals of the training are to educate, inform, challenge myths, beliefs, attitudes, call to action. You will receive a certificate of completion that will allow you to work in any domestic violence shelter or treatment program for perpetrators statewide.
