DVS serves thousands of local families each year and is literally a lifesaver for many of them. Some have left their homes with only the clothes on their backs. They may have to obtain custody and restraining orders. They may not be able to access joint bank accounts. They frequently must find work and childcare, in addition to a new place to live, new schools for their children, and a new network of support. They may have to start their lives all over again. In addition, they must heal¾and help their children to heal¾from the trauma they have experienced and the damage it has done to their confidence and ability to trust. Domestic Violence Solutions is pleased to help these women with all of these issues and is continuously amazed by our clients’ strength and resolve. Yet we never could do as much for them without the help of generous people like you!
