Opportunities: |
- Thrift store - receiving items,
sorting and setting up special
displays
- Child care - while clients attend
support groups, appointments, job
interviews and court appointments
(requires 40-hour
Training)
- Yard work and general maintenance
at the shelter
- Office assistance - filing ,
answering business line and
hielping on special projects
- Moving assistance for residents -
looking for an apartment, moving
personal items, setting up a new
home
- Foster care for client's pets
while client is in shelter

| As a service
group or community organization: |
- One Day Workday - this can be any
number of activities including
fixing up an apartment for move-in,
playground cleanup and fixup,
build a playhouse for shelter
children (these projects can vary
depending on the skill level and
interests of the group)
- Holiday Party - any holiday, you
could be a 'sponsor' and provide
food, decorations, kids games and
prizes, etc.
