We offer individual and group counseling to survivors of domestic violence, whether
or not they seek shelter. Adults who have experienced violence or abuse (either
as adults or as children), adolescents and adults who are having problems with their
anger, and children and teens who are exposed to violence or abuse come to the
Counseling Programs of Domestic Violence Solutions. Others who have concerns about the role
of anger in their lives, be it in relationships or at work, also come to our agency.
Our goal is for clients to recognize their abilities to deal safely and constructively
with the challenging issues in their lives.
Our Anger Management programs
for adults and teens offer counseling and education
to individuals, couples, and families who want to develop new, positive skills for
dealing with anger. Our counselors know the importance of conveying their respect
and concern for their clients. They see the capacity for positive change in all
people. It is the hope of our agency that people will seek help before anger erupts
into patterns that are harmful to themselves or others.
