40-Hour Domestic Violence Training

When

November 3–14, 2009 & January 5–16, 2010.
Tuesdays & Thursdays
7 - 9 pm and Saturdays 9 am – 4 pm.

Where

The November training sessions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings will meet at UCSB; Saturday sessions will meet in Santa Barbara. In January, all sessions will be held in Santa Barbara.

What

  • Earn the 40-Hour DV Training Certification required to provide direct service in a domestic violence agency.
  • Learn evidenced based strategies for counseling and client advocacy/case management practices that support recovery from domestic violence.
  • Increase your understanding of how domestic violence, mental health and substance abuse intersect, and the effective practices of trauma-sensitive and culturally competent service delivery.

  • Mental Health, Substance Abuse and Trauma - Trauma Sensitive Service Delivery

Cost

$150 per person
Includes the training manual, full and partial scholarships available.
